This project entailed an interior remodel of a c. 1965, 1,870-square-foot Bauhaus master Herbert Bayer-designed townhouse in Aspen, Colorado. The client, a local gallery owner and designer, requested ingenious practicality for the architecture and interiors. Expertly navigating the Historic Preservation Committee approval process, Menendez Architects made use of every bit of space in the compact townhouse. The successful result renders an efficient, modern lifestyle for the owner and also respects the iconic and historic intent of the original design.
